Nature Class: Creating with the world (ages 3-6)

Fridays | 10:00 AM @ Crooked River Preserve in Clermont, FL

Our class is a slow, joyful introduction to learning through nature, rhythm, and play. Designed for children ages 3–6, this mixed-age gathering offers space for curiosity, creativity, and connection — both with the natural world and with friends.

Each morning follows a predictable, comforting flow inspired by Waldorf early childhood principles, allowing children to feel safe while exploring freely.

Our time together includes:

  • A gentle circle time with songs, movement, and seasonal rhythms
  • A story shared aloud to spark imagination
  • A nature-based craft using open-ended, beautiful materials
  • Sensory play invitations that support exploration and regulation
  • Unhurried outdoor play and nature exploration with peers

This class values process over product and honors childhood as it is — playful, curious, and full of wonder.

Step into a world of color, light, and natural wonder! Each week, children will explore the magic around them as they create art and crafts inspired by the world outdoors. Using natural materials, seasonal treasures, and a little imagination, our little makers will connect with the rhythms of nature while developing curiosity, creativity, and joy.

Weekly Adventures:

  • 2/20 – Tote Bag Printing: Use leaves, flowers, and found objects to stamp your own nature-inspired designs onto a reusable tote bag.
  • 2/27 – Play Silk Dyeing: Watch colors bloom like magic as we dye silk with natural pigments.
  • 3/6 – Sun Prints: Harness the power of the sun to create beautiful prints with plants, leaves, and everyday treasures from nature.
